Launch of th TQUAL mark 02 April 2011 - launch of the TQUAL mark
Australia's high quality tourism businesses will be recognisable by a single national trademark known as the TQUAL mark. Minister Ferguson launched the trademark at the Australian Tourism Exchange in Sydney. The national TQUAL mark will help visitors choose businesses which have signed up to standards including customer service, environmental practices and accuracy in advertising.

Minister Ferguson's Visit to Liverpool Plains 08 July 2010 - Liverpool Plains Visit
On 8 July 2010 the Minister for Resources and Energy, Martin Ferguson AM MP, visited Liverpool Plains at the invitation of local MP Mr Tony Windsor. During his visit the Minister met with community leaders to hear their views on the significantissues facing the region. The Minister confirmed the Federal Government's $1.5 million commitment for the Namoi Water study that will look at the potential impacts of proposed coal mining and coal seam gas extraction on the region's water resources.


The Jackson Report 14 June 2009 - Jackson Report
On 14 June 2009 the Minister for Tourism, Martin Ferguson AM MP, released the Jackson Report produced by the Long Term Tourism Strategy Steering Committee. The Jackson Reports is a valuable contribution to the ongoing development of theNational Long-Term Tourism Strategy, which will be finalised later this year.
